SILVERBACK SAFARIS DESTINATIONS
UGANDA | "The Pearl of Africa"
Uganda is a great destination to experience wildlife viewing in both forest and savannah. Not to be missed is gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Meeting these gentle creatures eye to eye is an emotional experience, one never forgotten - while chimps can easily be spotted in Kibale National Park. Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls national parks offer wonderful Uganda safaris with good wildlife viewing. It's time to get off the beaten track, lace up those hiking boots and experience Uganda - incomparable in its offering of truly unique adventure, culture and wildlife.
Whether you are climbing the Mountains of the Moon, white water rafting on the River Nile or gorilla tracking, Uganda is an adventure holiday or honeymoon that also supplies plenty of depth and meaning.
RWANDA | "Land of a Thousand Hills"
Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park is where you can trek the jungle and come face to face with habituated mountain gorillas. And, for many, that is thrill enough. Yet Rwanda, has a lot more to beat its chest about. You can explore the natural wonders of unspoiled rainforests or relax on the shores of translucent-blue Lake Kivu. In many ways, luxury Rwanda Safaris offer every facet of the perfect African adventure. Green and mountainous, this small central African nation packs in an astonishing array of jaw-dropping scenery, ecodiversity and leisure activities.
From the friendly buzz of downtown Kigali to Gorilla Tracking in the jungles and big-game savannah of the world-class Safari Parks, Rwanda really does have it all.

From its top to its tail, Uganda is rife with national parks. Chimpanzees play in the shadow of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, elephants drink from the gushing waterfalls of Murchison Falls National Park, and lions and Ugandan cobb graze on the beautiful savannah grasslands of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
But delve deeper into the country’s southwestern corner, and you will find a different type of creature. Here, in the depths of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, half of the world’s remaining wild mountain gorillas roam free, and you can trek through their disappearing habitat to see them at work, rest and play.
Located at the point where the East African savannah meets the Central African rainforest, the country is one of the most bio-diverse in the world, and within its comparatively diminutive frame lie the continent’s highest mountain range, its largest lake, and the source of the world’s longest river.
For much of its (at times turbulent) history, however, Uganda has struggled to escape the shadow of its noisy neighbours, the safari powerhouses of Kenya and Tanzania. But times are changing. Nationwide peace has reigned for well over a decade, the government has started investing properly in roads, hotels and other tourist facilities, and visitors are at last waking up to its compelling mix of spectacular scenery, incredible wildlife and warm and welcoming people.
